TeleRead is about to move to GreenGeeks, a wind-powered hosting service—very much in keeping with our ecological concerns. GreenGeeks already houses my other sites, LibraryCity and The Solomon Scandals.
After relocating to a host more trustworthy than the current one, which will go unnamed, we can then go on to other upgrades such as a new WordPress template. Yes, yes, we’re quite aware of issues such as the kaput “Previous Page” button. Care to help us identify other glitches?
But meanwhile hold off until the reborn teleread.com has time to propagate. If you’re still seeing this notice with “about to move,” then it’s too soon to write any comments on any topic.
Some earlier material, by the way, will be AWOL. We’ll restore it.
Also recommended: VaultPress, a backup and migration plug-in from the developers of WordPress. It isn’t perfect—tech support doesn’t respond as quickly as I’d like. But VaultPress can be a lifesaver in tough situations, such as when you must move a site without the host even sharing current FTP access information.
